Studies on Combining Ability in Bitter Gourd (Momordica charantia L.)
Combining ability study in eight bitter gourd lines, to identify suitable parents and crosses for further exploitation, indicated that the lines MC 13 (L1) and Panruti Local (L2) were good general combiners for yield per vine. The lines Ayakudi Local (L3)

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

COMBINING ABILITY ESTIMATION IN DURUM WHEAT(Triticum durum Desf.)
Seven durum wheat entries (Triticum durum Desf.) were used in this study . Six of them (Omgenil-3, Albit-9, Azeghar-2, Azul-5, Mna-1/Rfm-7, 1346/Lahn /Bcr/LKS4) introduced from (ICARDA) , in addition to the local growing variety (Waha) .

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Combining ability of pea genotypes
Knowing combining ability of parental lines is important in estimating a potential of a parent in a new variety creation. The general opinion is that parents with good combining ability will give a good new genotype. F1 generations with high values of desired traits often have high probability of giving more valuable progeny in later generations.

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
