Band intensities of the molecular ions CH/sup +/, CO/sup +/, N/sub 2//sup +/, and H/sub 2/O/sup +/ have been determined on an absolute scale from tail spectra of comet Kohoutek (1973f) and comet Bradfield (1974b). Photoionization and photodissociation rates have been computed for CH, CO, and N/sub 2/.
