A comparison principle and the Lipschitz continuity for minimizers
We give some conditions that ensure the validity of a Comparison Principle for the Minimizers of integral functionals, without assuming the validity of the Euler-Lagrange equation.

We prove a comparison principle for solutions of the Cauchy problem of the nonlinear pseudoparabolic equation $u_t=Delta u_t+ Deltavarphi(u) +h(t,u)$ with nonnegative bounded initial data.

Why human connection is the true metric of research success
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

Application of the comparison principle to analysis of nonlinear systems
A comparison principle based on a Kamke theorem and Lipschitz conditions is presented along with its possible applications and modifications. It is shown that the comparison lemma can be used in the study of such areas as classical stability theory ...

A comparison principle for terminal value problems in ordinary differential equations
A comparison principle for a terminal value problem of an ordinary differential equation is formulated. Basic related topics such as the existence of maximal and minimal solutions of terminal value problems are investigated.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

p-harmonious functions with drift on graphs via games
In a connected finite graph $E$ with set of vertices $mathfrak{X}$, choose a nonempty subset, not equal to the whole set, $Ysubset mathfrak{X}$, and call it the boundary $Y=partialmathfrak{X}$.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

In this article, we consider a coupled singular parabolic system, describing the dynamics of dislocation densities in a bounded domain. The model takes into consideration the short-range interactions between dislocations, which causes the singularity ...

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.
