A local strict comparison theorem and converse comparison theorems for reflected backward stochastic differential equations [PDF]
A local strict comparison theorem and some converse comparison theorems are proved for reflected backward stochastic differential equations under suitable conditions.Reflected backward stochastic differential equations Comparison ...

An integral comparison theorem for cavitation diagrams [PDF]
In this paper we prove a comparison theorem for a functional whose positiveness is a necessary condition for the solvability of the problem of designing a hydrofoil by a given cavitation diagram. Original Russian Text © N.I. Manina and A.Ya.

On the representation of parallel search in theorem proving [PDF]
This extended abstract summarizes two contributions from ongoing work on parallel search in theorem proving. First, we give a framework of definitions for parallel theorem proving, including inference system, communication operators, parallel search plan,

Permanence for a Discrete Model with Feedback Control and Delay
The permanence of a single-species population discrete model with feedback control is considered. We found that if we use the method of comparison theorem, then the additional condition, to some extent, is necessary.

A Comparison Theorem for Spectral Sequences
We give a comparison result for two first quadrant spectral sequences that are isomorphic at every point other than the bottom horizontal line and the one that is the source of the map vanishes on that line. This situation comes out naturally when comparing niveau spectral sequences related to certain homology theories and an example is given here.

Oscillation theorems for second-order neutral functional dynamic equations on time scales
In this article, we obtain several comparison theorems for the second-order neutral dynamic equation $$ Big(r(t)ig([x(t)+p(t)x(au(t))]^Deltaig)^gammaBig)^Delta +q_1(t)x^lambda(delta(t))+q_2(t)x^eta(eta(t))=0, $$ where $gamma, lambda, eta$ are ratios

Cantor's comparison theorem. [PDF]
En el presente trabajo se da un contexto en el cual tiene sentido la comparación conjuntista, exhibiendo como ejemplo el Teorema de Cantor. Para ello, primero se discuten las nociones de conjunto finito y conjunto infinito, a través del concepto de ...

Oscillation of solutions to second-order half-linear differential equations with neutral terms
This article studies the oscillatory behavior of second-order half-linear differential equations with several neutral terms. Some criteria are presented that include those reported in [22].

On Heat Kernel Comparison Theorems
The authors develop some upper estimates for heat kernels and apply the estimates to obtain Sobolev inequalities. In particular the first estimate, that generalizes various recent similar results, is about a type of manifold in a rank one symmetric space that is of irreducible type.
