Interplay of integrins and selectins in metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here we review the role of integrins and their interplay with selectins in metastasis. The efficacy of integrin‐targeted therapies may be reduced in tumors where metastasis relies heavily on selectins. In certain tumors, integrins and selectins exhibit a synergistic interaction during intraperitoneal dissemination.

Assessing Objective and Verifiable Indicators Associated With Work-Related Stress: Validation of a Structured Checklist for the Assessment and Management of Work-Related Stress

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
Risk assessment represents an essential part of any successful intervention in health and safety at work. The most prominent European methodologies propose multi-method approaches for identifying the risks associated with work-related stress ...

Compensation of B-L charge of matter with relic sneutrinos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We consider massless gauge boson connected to B-L charge with and without compensation to complete the investigation of the gauging of B and L charges. Relic sneutrinos predicted by SUSY and composite models may compensate B-L charge of matter. As a consequence of the possible compensation mechanism we have shown that the available experimental data ...

Study of compensation process of ion beams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
For investigation of space charge compensation process due to residual gas ionization and the experimentally study of the rise of compensation, a Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT) system consisting of an ion source, two solenoids, a decompensation ...

Awards as compensation [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Management Review, 2007
AbstractAwards are non‐material, extrinsic compensation taking the form of orders, medals, decorations and prizes. They have been widely used in monarchies and republics, private organizations, not‐for‐profit and profit‐oriented firms. Nevertheless, they have so far not received much attention.

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

A DNN-based OTFS Transceiver with Delay-Doppler Channel Training and IQI Compensation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
In this paper, we present a deep neural network (DNN) based transceiver architecture for delay-Doppler (DD) channel training and detection of orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation signals along with IQ imbalance (IQI) compensation. The proposed transceiver learns the DD channel over a spatial coherence interval and detects the information ...

Compensation of deep drawing tools for springback and tool-deformation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Manual tool reworking is one of the most time-consuming stages in the\ud preparation of a deep drawing process. Finite Elements (FE) analyses are now widely\ud applied to test the feasibility of the forming process, and with the increasing accuracy of ...

Compensation conundrum

open access: yesPerspectives in Clinical Research, 2012
Pressured by questions tabled in parliament that point to a lack of adequate enforcement of regulations, the DCG(I) has abruptly initiated action to ensure payment of compensation for trial-related injuries. While it is astounding that non-compliance to the existing regulations could have gone unnoticed by quality assurance staff as well as by the ...

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.
