The Complement-fixation Test for Avian Leukosis

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1968
Summary Sera from hamsters bearing tumours induced by the Schmidt-Ruppin strain of Rous sarcoma virus (sr-RSV) contain antibodies to the avian leukosis group specific antigen and an antigen of chick origin. The ‘chick embryo antigen’ is found in chick embryos infected and uninfected with avian leukosis viruses and in chicken tumours induced by avian ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Field evaluation of an iELISA and CF test for detection of IgG antibodies against Chlamydophila abortus in goats, sheep and rams

open access: yesVeterinární Medicína, 2002
Blood sera samples from 99 clinically healthy goats, 230 sheep and 171 rams were investigated by CF test and indirect ELISA. In case of goats, 3.03% seroprevalence was detected, in sheep it was 3.04%, whereas, in case of rams seroprevalence was 0% by ...

SEROLOGICAL AND BACTERIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS ON BRUCELLA INFECTION IN ONE HUMPED CAMELS”(CAMELUS DROMEDARIUS) IN EGYPT [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Medical Journal - Giza, 2000
Scrodiagnosis supported by bacteriological exam-ination is esscntial for the identification of brucel-losis in camels. Out of 750 camel sera under in- vestigation, 29 (3.9%) werc positive brucclla reactors to the buffer acidified plate antigen test (BAPA)

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Evaluation of the sensitivity and specificity of latex agglutination and complement fixation tests in the field diagnosis of contagious bovine

open access: yes, 2014
The sensitivity and specificity of latex agglutination test (LAT) and Complement fixation test (CFT) for the field diagnosis of Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia were determined using 90 bovine sera from various parts of the country.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have
