We show how the Brooks–Chacon Biting Lemma can be combined with the Castaing–Saadoune procedure to provide the complete rate of convergence along subsequences when the uniformly boundedness condition is violated.

Complete convergence for weighted sums of pairwise independent random variables
In the present paper, we have established the complete convergence for weighted sums of pairwise independent random variables, from which the rate of convergence of moving average processes is deduced.

Some limit theorems for ratios of order statistics from uniform random variables
In this paper, we study the ratios of order statistics based on samples drawn from uniform distribution and establish some limit properties such as the almost sure central limit theorem, the large deviation principle, the Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund law of ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Annihilator, Completeness and Convergence of Wavelet System [PDF]
AbstractWe show that if is a frame and {ψQ}Q∈Q ∈ ∩ Mα(ℝn) is its dual frame (for the definition of Mα(ℝn), see Definition 2.1), where Q is the collection of dyadic cubes, then for any f ∈ S′(ℝn), there exists a sequence of polynomials, PL,L′,L″, such that(0.1) in the topology of S′(ℝn), where δ(i) = max(2i, 1).

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Complete Convergence for Negatively Dependent Sequences of Random Variables
We study the complete convergence for negatively dependent sequences of random variables. As a result, we extend some complete convergence theorems for independent random variables to the case of negatively dependent random variables without necessarily ...
