Almost complex structures on the cotangent bundle

open access: yes, 2005
We construct some lift of an almost complex structure to the cotangent bundle, using a connection on the base manifold. This generalizes the complete lift defined by I.Sato and the horizontal lift introduced by K.Yano and S.Ishihara.

Affine transformations of the tangent bundle with a complete lift connection over a manifold with a linear connection of special type

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур, 2018
In this paper we obtain exact upper bounds for the dimensions of Lie algebras of infinitesimal affine transformations in tangent bundles with a complete lift connection in the case when the base space is a manifold equipped with a non-projective ...

Towards Completely Lifted Search-based Probabilistic Inference

open access: yes, 2011
The promise of lifted probabilistic inference is to carry out probabilistic inference in a relational probabilistic model without needing to reason about each individual separately (grounding out the representation) by treating the undistinguished individuals as a block.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Integral lift engine preliminary design [PDF]

open access: yes
A preliminary mechanical design of a complete lift fan engine system is reported. A description of the lift fan engine, layout drawings of the components and complete engine, and a discussion of the design analyses and results are presented.

The closed-loop kinematics modeling and numerical calculation of the parallel hexapod robot in space

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
The Lie group Denavit–Hartenberg method and application in the parallel hexapod robot are researched. The hexapod robot and the ground form opened and closed loop alternately; the complete kinematics equation cannot be derived by Denavit–Hartenberg ...

Linear liftings for non complete probability space

open access: yes, 1992
We show that it is consistent with ZFC that L^infty (Y,B, nu) has no linear lifting for many non-complete probability spaces (Y,B, nu), in particular for Y=[0,1]^A, B= Borel subsets of Y, nu = usual Radon measure on B .

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...
