150-Channel Four Wave Mixing Based Multiwavelength Brillouin-Erbium Doped Fiber Laser
A wide band tunable multiwavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser (BEFL) is developed. In this structure, the laser is formed between a double pass amplification box and a highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF), which acts as a virtual mirror, results in removing ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Compact Brillouin Fiber Laser Based on Highly Nonlinear Fiber With 51 Double Spacing Channels
A compact multiwavelength Brillouin fiber laser (BFL) with 51 stable double Brillouin frequency shift channels is demonstrated at room temperature. It uses a ring cavity with a 3-dB coupler for separation of odd-ordered and even-ordered Brillouin Stokes (

Learning agent influence in MAS with complex social networks [PDF]
In complex open multi-agent systems (MAS), where there is no centralised control and individuals have equal authority, ensuring cooperative and coordinated behaviour is challenging.

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Optimal percolation on multiplex networks
Multiplex networks consist of a collection of interacting layers and occur in social and technological systems. Here Osat et al. investigate optimal percolation which relates to the process of optimally dismantling multiplex networks and show that ...

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.
