Demonstration of an enhanced dosing pattern for debulking large and bulky unresectable tumors via differential hole‐size spatially fractionated radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose/objective We propose a novel lattice deployment for spatially fractionated radiotherapy (SFRT) treatments. In this approach, a larger diameter high‐dose sphere is centrally placed in the bulky tumor mass and surrounded by smaller diameter high‐dose spheres.

A Novel Latin Hypercube Algorithm via Translational Propagation

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Metamodels have been widely used in engineering design to facilitate analysis and optimization of complex systems that involve computationally expensive simulation programs. The accuracy of metamodels is directly related to the experimental designs used.

Dosimetric evaluation and clinical application of collimated apertures with proton beam line scanning in stereotactic radiotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) is a highly effective treatment with precision for small, localized lesions. Proton therapy, characterized by the Bragg peak, offers superior dose conformity compared to photon‐based approaches. However, challenges remain in minimizing lateral penumbra and optimizing dose delivery, particularly for small

Asymptotic behaviour of the sectional ring

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique
The theory of the Okounkov body is a usual tool for analyzing the asymptotic behaviour of the sectional ring of a line bundle over a projective manifold.

Simulation‐free workflow for lattice radiation therapy using deep learning predicted synthetic computed tomography: A feasibility study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Lattice radiation therapy (LRT) is a form of spatially fractionated radiation therapy that allows increased total dose delivery aiming for improved treatment response without an increase in toxicities, commonly utilized for palliation of bulky tumors.

Cohomology of configuration spaces of complex projective spaces [PDF]

open access: yesCzechoslovak Mathematical Journal, 2010
In this paper we compute topological invariants for some configuration spaces of complex projective spaces. We shall describe Sullivan models for these configuration spaces.

Nuclei‐Specific Amygdala Enlargement Is Linked to Psychiatric Comorbidities in Drug‐Resistant Focal Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amygdala enlargement has been the subject of controversial studies regarding its significance in terms of pathogenicity both in epilepsy and in psychiatric comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, and post‐traumatic stress disorder.

Kähler geometry on complex projective spaces via reduction and unfolding

open access: yesRendiconti di Matematica e delle Sue Applicazioni, 2018
We review how a reduction procedure along a principal fibration and an unfolding procedure associated to a suitable momentum map allows to describe the Kähler geometry of a finite dimensional complex projective space.

Complex projective spaces as PL fibrators

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 1995
AbstractThe main result affirms that CPn is a codimension 2n + 2 PL fibrator. Techniques of the paper reveal a large role for the cohomology cup product operator in detecting approximate fibrations.
