The Turing mechanism provides a paradigm for the spontaneous generation of patterns in reaction–diffusion systems. A framework that describes Turing-pattern formation in the context of complex networks should provide a new basis for studying the phenomenon.

Robust Adaptive Fuzzy Control of Chaos in the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
An adaptive fuzzy control method is developed to control chaos in the permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system via backstepping. Fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate unknown nonlinearities, and an adaptive backstepping technique is employed

Stabilization for Rectangular Descriptor Fractional Order Systems
This paper focuses on the stabilization problem for rectangular descriptor fractional order systems (FOSs) with $0 <; \alpha \le 1$ . Firstly, a fractional order dynamic compensator is constructed to make the closed-loop systems square descriptor FOSs.

Time complexity and gate complexity
We formulate and investigate the simplest version of time-optimal quantum computation theory (t-QCT), where the computation time is defined by the physical one and the Hamiltonian contains only one- and two-qubit interactions.

This paper mainly concentrates on the distributed tracking control problem for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems with quantized input signal. Unlike the previous results on quantized control for multi-agent systems, the nonlinearities in

Dendritic cells steering antigen and leukocyte traffic in lymph nodes
Dendritic cells are key players in the activation of T cells and their commitment to effector function. In this In a Nutshell Review, we will discuss how dendritic cells guide the trafficking of antigen and leukocytes in the lymph node, thus influencing T‐cell activation processes. Dendritic cells (DCs) play a central role in initiating and shaping the

Relating CAT(0) cubical complexes and flag simplicial complexes [PDF]
Given a finite CAT(0) cubical complex, we define a flag simplicial complex associated to it, called the crossing complex. We show that the crossing complex holds much of the combinatorial information of the original cubical complex: for example, hyperplanes in the cubical complex correspond to vertex links in the crossing complex, and the crossing ...

From Quantum Query Complexity to State Complexity
State complexity of quantum finite automata is one of the interesting topics in studying the power of quantum finite automata. It is therefore of importance to develop general methods how to show state succinctness results for quantum finite automata ...
