Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

ABSTRACT Background SOX1 antibody‐positive paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNS) exhibit significant population‐specific clinical heterogeneity. While Western cohorts predominantly manifest Lambert‐Eaton myasthenic syndrome (65%–80%), comprehensive clinical characterization and treatment response data in Asian populations remain critically ...

An augmented formulation of distributed compliant mechanism optimization using a level set method
Topology optimization has emerged as one of the key approaches to design compliant mechanisms. However, one of the main difficulties is that the resulted compliant mechanisms often have de facto hinges. For this reason, a simple yet efficient formulation

ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive decline is a disabling and variable feature of Parkinson disease (PD). While cholinergic system degeneration is linked to cognitive impairments in PD, most prior research reported cross‐sectional associations. We aimed to fill this gap by investigating whether baseline regional cerebral vesicular acetylcholine transporter ...

Ultra-Compact Orthoplanar Spring via Euler-Spiral Flexures
Orthoplanar springs are single-component compliant mechanisms that can be fabricated from sheet material and undergo deflection orthogonal to the plane of the mechanism. They are useful in applications where spatial constraints are significant.

Displacement Analysis of Compliant Mechanism
Everyone expects accurate outcomes in the fast-moving and extremely competitive globe today. The urgent need for precision led to developing new processes in a rapidly increasing mechanical and mechatronic globe, which serve the primary objective of accuracy.

Sex Representation in US Stroke Clinical Trials: A Decade of Trends and Challenges
ABSTRACT Objective Stroke remains a major cause of disability and mortality in the US, with significant sex‐based disparities, and females remain underrepresented in stroke clinical trials. We aimed to examine sex representation in US‐based stroke clinical trials, identify trial characteristics associated with higher female enrollment (≥ 50%), and ...
