Integrated framework for development and execution of component-based Grid applications [PDF]
Component-based software technologies have emerged as a modern approach to software development for distributed and grid applications. However, the lack of longer-term experience and the complexity of the target systems demand more research results in ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Generavimo metodų naudojimas kuriant .NET komponentines programų sistemas
Komponentinė paradigma leidžia greičiau sukurti programų sistemas, efektyviau pakartotinai naudoti anksčiau sukurtus programinius artefaktus – komponentus. Deja, praktiškai kuriant komponentines programų sistemas daug laiko sugaištama komponentų paieškai

Semantic Integrity in Component Based Development
Due to the distributed nature of the growing field of Component Based Software Engineering (CBSE) and the increasing complexity of modern systems, the semantic aspects of software components must be well specified.

Adaptive development and maintenance of user-centric software systems [PDF]
A software system cannot be developed without considering the various facets of its environment. Stakeholders – including the users that play a central role – have their needs, expectations, and perceptions of a system.

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Process Patterns for Component-Based Software Development
Component-Based Development (CBD) has been broadly used in software development, as it enhances reusability and flexibility, and reduces the costs and risks involved in systems development. It has therefore spawned many widely-used approaches, such as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and software product lines.

Industrial Requirements on Component Technologies for Embedded Systems
Software component technologies have not yet been generally accepted by embedded-systems industries. In order to better understand why this is the case, we present a set of requirements, based on industrial needs, that are deemed decisive for introducing

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
