Using of Optimization Models in Financial Decision Support Systems
The article discusses the use of optimization models in financial decision support systems (DSS). The architecture of the DSS is considered. It is determined by the nature of the interaction of its main components: the user interface, database and data ...

Toward a search architecture for software components [PDF]
AbstractThe Grid and its related technologies enable large‐scale sharing of resources of various types. We envision that in the near future applications will be completely built in a bottom‐up fashion using software components deployed on various locations and interconnected to form a workflow graph.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Pattern-driven reuse in architecture-centric evolution for service software [PDF]
Service-based architectures implement business processes as technical software services to develop enterprise software. As a consequence of frequent business and technical change cycles, the architect requires a reusecentered approach to systematically ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Flexible Programmable Networking: A Reflective, Component-based Approach [PDF]
The need for programmability and adaptability in networking systems is becoming increasingly important. More specifically, the challenge is in the ability to add services rapidly, and be able to deploy, configure and reconfigure them as easily as ...

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

A Framework For Dynamic Updating In Component-Based Software Systems. [PDF]
This paper presents DPICS framework for composing component-based software system that can be modified at runtime. It is based on message pattern interaction between system’s components, which facilitates adding, removing, or replacing a component while ...
