Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

A yeast model of 5‐oxoproline accumulation reveals a general toleration to 5‐oxoproline

Reliability of composite columns and beam - columns in EUROCODE 4

The reliability of the design methods in EUROCODE 4, Composite Constructions, for composite columns is studied in this paper. The investigation has been performed for both concretefilled tubes and concrete encased profiles. The research compares the available test-results with the design model of EC-4 using the second order reliability method.
