Imperfection investigation of composite stiffened fuselage panels for Postbuckling analyses [PDF]
Project COCOMAT is an ongoing four year European Commission project aimed at exploiting the large reserve of strength in composite structures through more accurate prediction of collapse. As part of the research program, curved stiffened composite panels

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Composite mechanical properties for use in structural analysis [PDF]
In order to be able to undertake an analysis of a component the designer will need to know the properties of the material being used. The aim of this work is help the design engineer such that the mechanical properties of continuous glass fibre ...

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Preparation and Applications of Polyamide 6/ IRM? Tooth Root Composite Filling Material [PDF]
[[abstract]]Intermediate restorative material (IRM®) is the most commonly used temporary filling material. This research mixed IRM with Polyamide 6 (Nylon 6) fibers, forming the Nylon/IRM tooth root composite filling materials. Tests such as setting time,

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the
