Composition operators on Harmonic Bloch-type spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
In this paper we consider composition operators on Harmonic-Bloch type spaces and we compute the spectrum of composition operators. Also, we characterize isometric composition operators on harmonic Bloch type spaces.

Composition and multiplication operators between Orlicz function spaces

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
Composition operators and multiplication operators between two Orlicz function spaces are investigated. First, necessary and sufficient conditions for their continuity are presented in several forms.

Effects of chronic browsing on life‐history traits of an irruptive large herbivore population

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
This study aimed to determine the relationship between diet quality, body mass, and size (hind foot length), and female reproduction and sought to identify the mechanism by which high density under severe food limitations is maintained. Our results demonstrated that sika deer introduced to Nakanoshima Island have maintained high densities through high ...

Self-adjoint, unitary, and normal weighted composition operators in several variables [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications 395 (2012), pp. 596-607, 2012
We study weighted composition operators on Hilbert spaces of analytic functions on the unit ball with kernels of the form $(1-)^{-\gamma}$ for $\gamma>0$. We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the adjoint of a weighted composition operator to be a weighted composition operator or the inverse of a weighted composition operator.

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Fourier-integral-operator approximation of solutions to first-order hyperbolic pseudodifferential equations I: convergence in Sobolev spaces

open access: yes, 2005
An approximation Ansatz for the operator solution, $U(z',z)$, of a hyperbolic first-order pseudodifferential equation, $\d_z + a(z,x,D_x)$ with $\Re (a) \geq 0$, is constructed as the composition of global Fourier integral operators with complex phases ...

Unraveling Mycobacterium tuberculosis acid resistance and pH homeostasis mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis exhibits a remarkable resilience to acid stress. In this Review, we discuss some of the molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways used by the tubercle bacilli to adapt and resist host‐mediated acid stress. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is a successful pathogen that has developed a variety of strategies to survive and ...

Mapping Cones are Operator Systems

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the relationship between mapping cones and matrix ordered *-vector spaces (i.e., abstract operator systems). We show that to every mapping cone there is an associated operator system on the space of n-by-n complex matrices, and furthermore

Uniformly continuous composition operators in the space of bounded Φ-variation functions in the Schramm sense [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2012
We prove that any uniformly continuous Nemytskii composition operator in the space of functions of bounded generalized \(\Phi\)-variation in the Schramm sense is affine. A composition operator is locally defined.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...
