Deformation and Failure of Polymer Bonded Explosives under Diametric Compression Test

open access: yes, 2006
The tensile deformation and failure of polymer bonded explosives (PBXs), a particulate composite, is studied in this paper. Two HMX-based PBXs with different binder were selected for study.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Breakage Functions of Particles of Four Different Materials Subjected to Uniaxial Compression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Particle breakage is a common problem in the conveying and handling of particulate solids. The phenomenon of particle breakage has been studied by experiments by a number of researchers in order to describe the process of breakage by mathematical ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Metrics for Stereoscopic Image Compression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Metrics for automatically predicting the compression settings for stereoscopic images, to minimize file size, while still maintaining an acceptable level of image quality are investigated.

Test Slice Difference Technique for Low-Transition Test Data Compression

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a low power strategy for test data compression and a new decompression scheme for test vectors. In our method, we propose an efficient algorithm for scan chain reordering to deal with the power dissipation problem.

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Influence of Additive Manufacturing Technology on Mechanical Properties of Glass-Filled Fine Polyamide PA3200GF

open access: yesEngineering Transactions, 2017
Additive manufacturing is a very fast developing field of research and many parts with complicated geometry are now made using 3D printing. The injection molding, casting, milling and other processes have some limitations and low volume of production ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
