The measurement of thermal changes on concrete box girder bridge [PDF]
Thermal load, especially vertical temperature gradient is an important factor that should be considered during the bridge design procedure. In the world several researches focusing on thermal influences was performed, mostly in USA and China, but only a few analysed real measured cross-section temperature gradient at European bridges.

Theory and Field to Determine the Construction of Bridge and Tunnel Linked Segment
Bridge–tunnel linked sections characterized by ultra‐small clear distances and steep slopes pose significant construction risks due to strong spatial constraints and complex mechanical interactions between adjacent underground structures. In such conditions, excavation method selection becomes a critical factor governing construction safety and ...

This study focuses on simply supported railway box girder bridges with pre‐existing cracks under high‐speed train loading. A vehicle–bridge coupled vibration model is established, and three‐dimensional dynamic stress intensity factors at the crack tip under various loading conditions are obtained using the interaction integral method.

Bridge-specific fragility analysis: when is it really necessary? [PDF]
In seismic assessment of bridges the research focus has recently shifted on the derivation of bridge-specific fragility curves that account for the effect of different geometry, structural system, component and soil properties, on the seismic behaviour ...

The Effect and Mechanical Mechanism of Intermediate Diaphragms in Prefabricated T‐Beam Bridges
Current bridge design codes stipulate that prefabricated T‐beam bridges must include intermediate diaphragms, with spacing not exceeding 10 m. However, the construction of these diaphragms entails extensive overhead work, elevated safety risks, and significant challenges in quality control.

The Analysis Of Reinforced Concrete Box Girder Viaduct Defects and Their Estimation
The article describes the main damages of box girder viaducts constructed in Lithuania and discusses the reasons for their occurrence. Several viaducts are examined in more detail with regard to their design data and experimental results. Using finite element software “Midas Civil” the distribution of the main stresses was determined in the box and ...
