Application of Tsallis entropy in defining a new generalized strong and weak secrecy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mahani Mathematical Research
In this paper, we explore the diverse applications and distinctive properties of Tsallis entropy by introducing generalized definitions of strong and weak secrecy.

Estimation of Parameters on Probability Density Function Using Enhanced GLUE Approach

open access: yesComputational Intelligence and Neuroscience, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
The most essential process in statistical image and signal processing is the parameter estimation of probability density functions (PDFs). The estimation of the probability density functions is a contentious issue in the domains of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

A Characterization of Entropy in Terms of Information Loss

open access: yesEntropy, 2011
There are numerous characterizations of Shannon entropy and Tsallis entropy as measures of information obeying certain properties. Using work by Faddeev and Furuichi, we derive a very simple characterization.

On the Uniqueness Theorem for Pseudo-Additive Entropies

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
The aim of this paper is to show that the Tsallis-type (q-additive) entropic chain rule allows for a wider class of entropic functionals than previously thought.

Conditional Shannon, Réyni, and Tsallis entropies estimation and asymptotic limits: discrete case

open access: yes, 2020
A method of estimating the joint probability mass function of a pair of discrete random variables is described. This estimator is used to construct the conditional Shannon-Réyni-Tsallis entropies estimates. From there almost sure rates of convergence and asymptotic normality are established. The theorical results are validated by simulations.

Tsallis q-Statistics in Seismology

open access: yes, 2023
Non-extensive statistical mechanics (or q-statistics) is based on the so-called non-additive Tsallis entropy. Since its introduction by Tsallis, in 1988, as a generalization of the Boltzmann–Gibbs equilibrium statistical mechanics, it has steadily ...

Integrable multi-phase thermodynamic systems and Tsallis' composition rule [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We derive a class of equations of state for a multi-phase thermodynamic system associated with a finite set of order parameters that satisfy an integrable system of hydrodynamic type. As particular examples, we discuss one-phase systems such as the van

Tsallis entropy on fractal sets

open access: yes, 2021
In this article, we review fractal calculus ((Formula presented.) -calculus) and define generalized Tsallis entropy on the fractal sets which is called fractal Tsallis entropy.
