RADIATION CONDITION FOR A MAGNETOPLASMA MEDIUM

The Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 1970
Abstract : The paper is concerned with the radiation condition for an unbounded magnetoplasma which is both anisotropic and dispersive. The usual form of the celebrated Sommerfeld radiation condition pertains to an isotropic and nondispersive medium and is not applicable to a magnetoplasma.

Induction of apoptosis by a hepatocyte conditioned medium

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2003
AbstractIncubation of primary cultures of parenchymal hepatocytes in a conditioned medium (CM), collected over the first 3 h of serum‐free rat hepatocyte culture (CM0–3), induces a time dependent increase of the frequency of apoptotic cells which is accompanied by prominent changes of cell morphology.

Ability of endothelial cells to condition culture medium

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 1982
AbstractEndothelial cell‐conditioned medium contains two classes of factors distinguishable by behavior during dialysis and on specificity for cell type. One species, which diffuses through dialysis tubing with an exclusion limit of 6,000 to 8,000 daltons, supports growth of bovine aortic endothelial (BAE) cells in medium containing a growth limiting ...

Influence of the medium conditions on enzymatic oxidation of bisphenol A

The Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2013
AbstractA multistep response surface methodology (RSM) was successfully applied to optimise the medium conditions for the enzymatic polymerisation of bisphenol A (BPA). The laccase enzyme used as the catalyst was derived from Funalia trogii (ATCC 200800) yeast culture.

Proteomic Analysis of Porcine Bone-Conditioned Medium

The International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, 2014
Autografts are considered to support bone regeneration. Paracrine factors released from cortical bone might contribute to the overall process of graft consolidation. The aim of this study was to characterize the paracrine factors by means of proteomic analysis.Bone-conditioned medium (BCM) was prepared from fresh bone chips of porcine mandibles and ...

On the Boundary Condition at the Surface of a Porous Medium

Studies in Applied Mathematics, 1971
A theoretical justification is given for an empirical boundary condition proposed by Beavers and Joseph [1]. The method consists of first using a statistical approach to extend Darcy's law to non homogeneous porous medium. The limiting case of a step function distribution of permeability and porosity is then examined by boundary layer techniques, and ...
