Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Dirac operators on configuration spaces and Yang-Mills quantum field theory

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
In this paper we discuss a connection between Dirac operators on configuration spaces and Yang-Mills quantum field theory. We first show that the Hamilton operators of the self-dual and anti-self-dual sectors of a Yang-Mills quantum field theory emerge ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

A study on the spatial configuration and collective system of street space in Tsutsuishi fishing village in relation to the service wet spaces

open access: yesJournal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering
Questioning the research on traditional settlements and town planning, which tends to result in the mere recording and preservation of the appearance of houses, this study positions itself as an attempt to achieve a careful and more holistic ...

Design of a digital interactive configuration, flexible and inexpensive, for monitoring the movements of people in real time

open access: yesSCIRES-IT, 2014
We aim to introduce here the idea and the first results of a still ongoing research regarding the setup of a flexible and inexpensive digital interactive configuration, which has the goal of tracking the position and routes of a certain amount of ...

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

HOS: A Hybrid Metaheuristic One-Parameter-at-a-Time Strategy for T-Way Test Case Generation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Interactions between software configuration parameters are a main source of system failures. However, the exponential growth of configuration spaces makes exhaustive testing impossible.
