Conic geometric programming [PDF]
We introduce and study conic geometric programs (CGPs), which are convex optimization problems that unify geometric programs (GPs) and conic optimization problems such as semidefinite programs (SDPs). A CGP consists of a linear objective function that is to be minimized subject to affine constraints, convex conic constraints, and upper bound ...

Groups and monoids of Pythagorean triples connected to conics
We define operations that give the set of all Pythagorean triples a structure of commutative monoid. In particular, we define these operations by using injections between integer triples and 3 × 3 matrices.

Readers of the article in the October Magazine on “Systems of Conics satisfying four conditions” would notice the important part played by degenerate conics. A little more explanation of these degenerate conics may not be out of place.

APPLICATION OF DANDELIN’S THEOREM TO DRAWING CIRCLES IN PARALLEL PERSPECTIVE
The paper analyses a problem of great theoretical importance in practice of perspective: the nature of the perspective of a circle from the horizontal plane according to the relative position between the spectator plane (parallel to the picture plane ...

A statistical study of field-aligned electron beams associated with ion conics events [PDF]
A statistical study of field-aligned electron beams associated with upflowing ion conics is presented from Exos-D (Akebono) observations below 10 000 km.

In the paper the Pell conics method for factoring integers, based on observations of Lemmermeyer [2, 3], is presented explicitly. Moreover, a similar algorithm for factoring polynomials over finite fields is given.

Conics Inscribed in a Standard Triangle in the Isotropic Plane
In this paper, we study conics inscribed in a standard triangle in the isotropic plane. Our research gives the conditions under which the inscribed conic is an ellipse, a parabola, or a hyperbola, expressed through the elements of a standard triangle. We

Conics meeting eight lines over perfect fields
Over the complex numbers, there are 92 plane conics meeting 8 general lines in projective 3-space. Using the Euler class and local degree from motivic homotopy theory, we give an enriched version of this result over any perfect field.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
