Immunomodulatory properties of conjugated linoleic acid [PDF]
In vitro studies of the use of immune cells and animal models demonstrate that conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a lipid, modulates immune function. In addition, recent publications demonstrate that 2 active CLA isomers (ie, cis-9,trans-11 CLA and trans-10,cis-12 CLA) modulate immune function in humans.

Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Method Coupled with GC-FID Analysis to Evaluate the Possible Adulteration of Corn Oil with Different Vegetable Oils [PDF]
Corn oil, a widely used and affordable food ingredient, undergoes fatty acid analysis primarily through Gas Chromatography (GC) equipped with a Flame Ionization Detector (FID) after the liquid-liquid microextraction method.

Influence of organic diet on the amount of conjugated linoleic acids in breast milk of lactating women in the Netherlands [PDF]
The aim of the present study was to find out whether the incorporation of organic dairy and meat products in the maternal diet affects the contents of the conjugated linoleic acid isomers (CLA) and trans-vaccenic acid (TVA) in human breast milk.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid Isomers and Cancer , [PDF]
We reviewed the literature regarding the effects of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) preparations enriched in specific isomers, cis9, trans11-CLA (c9, t11-CLA) or trans10, cis12-CLA (t10, c12-CLA), on tumorigenesis in vivo and growth of tumor cell lines in vitro.

Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Unregulated inflammation increases non‐esterified fatty acids (NEFAs), and triggers multi‐pathway hepatocyte damage including oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and metabolic disorders in dairy cows. ABSTRACT Circulating concentrations of nonesterified fatty acids (NEFAs) are elevated due to lipid mobilization from adipose tissue in ...
