Recent advances in conjugated polythiophene-based rod–rod block copolymers: From morphology control to optoelectronic applications

open access: yesGiant, 2020
Conjugated rod-rod block copolymers (BCPs) have attracted considerable attention during the past decade as they possess both the interesting microphase-separated characteristics of BCPs and the excellent optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers ...

Anisotropic assembly and fluorescence enhancement of conjugated polymer nanostructures

open access: yesView, 2022
The electronic properties of conjugated polymers depend sensitively on their conformation and morphology. However, control over the morphology of conjugated polymers is highly challenging.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Post-polymerisation functionalisation of conjugated polymer backbones and its application in multi-functional emissive nanoparticles

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Functionalisation of conjugated polymers is essential for performance in many applications, yet there are limited approaches to achieve this. Here the authors developed a method for the direct postpolymerisation modification of the aromatic backbone of ...

Performance Comparisons of Polymer Semiconductors Synthesized by Direct (Hetero)Arylation Polymerization (DHAP) and Conventional Methods for Organic Thin Film Transistors and Organic Photovoltaics

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
C-C bond forming reactions are central to the construction of π-conjugated polymers. Classical C-C bond forming reactions such as the Stille and Suzuki coupling reactions have been widely used in the past for this purpose.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
