Glutamine Deprivation Triggers Tribbles Homolog 3 Dependent G‐Quadruplex Resolution to Maintain DNA Repair and Tumor Survival

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glutamine deprivation triggers transient DNA damage yet activates adaptive repair in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. We identify TRIB3 as a stress‐induced nuclear scaffold that associates with DDX5 and G‐quadruplex DNA atBRCA1 andRAD51AP1 promoters. TRIB3 loss increases G4 accumulation, suppresses HR gene transcription, elevates γ‐H2A.X, and sensitizes

Dysregulation of the PATZ1/CTCF Balance Silences ZBTB20 to Drive Melanoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a new oncogenic mechanism in melanoma. The transcription factor PATZ1 competes with the architectural protein CTCF for DNA binding, thereby disrupting a specific chromatin loop and silencing the tumor suppressor ZBTB20. This event unleashes the pro‐tumorigenic PMEPA1‐p38‐STAT1 signaling axis, promoting cancer progression.

Multiple solutions with sign information for Robin equations with indefinite potential

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Sciences
In this paper, we study a Robin boundary value problem driven by the Laplace operator plus an indefinite potential term. The reaction is of the logistic type.

Room‐Temperature Magnetic Skyrmions and Intrinsic Anomalous Hall Effect in a Nodal‐Line Kagomé Ferromagnet MnRhP

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MnRhP has been identified as a novel kagomé magnet that hosts magnetic skyrmions above room temperature and exhibits a large intrinsic anomalous Hall effect. The latter originates from Berry curvature associated with gapped nodal lines, establishing MnRhP as a promising platform for exploring high‐temperature topological phenomena in both real and ...

Second Yamabe Constant on Riemannian Products [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Let $(M^m,g)$ be a closed Riemannian manifold $(m\geq 2)$ of positive scalar curvature and $(N^n,h)$ any closed manifold. We study the asymptotic behaviour of the second Yamabe constant and the second $N-$Yamabe constant of $(M\times N,g+th)$ as $t$ goes

Double-phase problems with reaction of arbitrary growth

open access: yes, 2019
We consider a parametric nonlinear nonhomogeneous elliptic equation, driven by the sum of two differential operators having different structure. The associated energy functional has unbalanced growth and we do not impose any global growth conditions to ...

Explaining the Origin of Negative Poisson's Ratio in Amorphous Networks With Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This review summarizes how machine learning (ML) breaks the “vicious cycle” in designing auxetic amorphous networks. By transitioning from traditional “black‐box” optimization to an interpretable “AI‐Physics” closed‐loop paradigm, ML is shown to not only discover highly optimized structures—such as all‐convex polygon networks—but also unveil hidden ...

Some remarks on sign changing solutions of a quasilinear elliptic equation in two variables [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We consider planar solutions to certain quasilinear elliptic equations subject to the Dirichlet boundary conditions; the boundary data is assumed to have finite number of relative maximum and minimum values.

Differential sensitivity of midline development to mitosis during and after primitive streak extension

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Midline establishment is a fundamental process during early embryogenesis for Bilaterians. Midline morphogenesis in non‐amniotes can occur without mitosis, through Planar Cell Polarity (PCP) signaling. By contrast, amniotes utilize both cellular processes for developing the early midline landmark, the primitive streak (PS).
