The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

A Constant Voltage/Current CPT System With Lightweight Characteristics for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

open access: yesIEEE Access
The large weight of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) could cause a decrease in endurance mileage, while poor anti-offset performance could extend charging time and may even damage onboard equipment.

Temperature compensation of light-emitting diodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
Circuit which includes a thermistor-resistor combination to compensate for temperature fluctuations by supplying input voltage to light-emitting diode, maintains constant light output.

Inverterless high-power interior permanent-magnet automotive alternator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
This paper describes a high-power brushless interior permanent-magnet (PM) automotive alternator which does not use an inverter. The “inverterless” alternator is designed with a high back electromotive force voltage and high reactance, and acts as a ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Design and Implementation of a Wireless Power Transfer System Using LCL Coupling Network with Inherent Constant-Current and Constant-Voltage Output for Battery Charging

open access: yesEnergies
The constant current followed by constant voltage (CC-CV) charging method is commonly employed for battery charging, effectively extending battery life and reducing charging time.

Optimal Constant DC Link Voltage Operation of aWave Energy Converter

open access: yesEnergies, 2013
This article proposes a simple and reliable damping strategy for wave powerfarm operation of small-scale point-absorber converters. The strategy is based on passiverectification onto a constant DC-link, making it very suitable for grid integration of the

Load‐independent inverse class‐E ZVS inverter and its application to wireless power transfer systems

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2022
This paper proposes a load‐independent inverse class‐E zero‐voltage switching (ZVS) inverter. The proposed inverter achieves the constant output current and the ZVS at any load resistance without any control.

Repetitive control for high-performance resonant pulsed power supply in radio frequency applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a novel three phase series resonant parallel loaded (SRPL) resonant converter topology for radio frequency (RF) applications. The proposed converter is capable to produce as output voltage a series of “long pulses”, each one lasting ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
