Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

One of the authors has developed a numerical simulator of airlift pump to solve governing equations represented by the drift flux model. The solver is based on the finite volume method which is known as SIMPLER algorithm for numerical scheme.

In order to predict the high-temperature deformation behavior of hypereutectoid steel, the hot compression tests were conducted in the strain rate range of (0.001~1) s-1 and the deformation temperature range of (950~1100)°C.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Strain-Rate and Stress-Rate Models of Nonlinear Viscoelastic Materials
The paper is devoted to the modeling of nonlinear viscoelastic materials. The constitutive equations are considered in differential form via relations between strain, stress, and their derivatives in the Lagrangian description.

Entropy Analysis for a Nonlinear Fluid with a Nonlinear Heat Flux Vector
Flowing media in both industrial and natural processes are often characterized as assemblages of densely packed granular materials. Typically, the constitutive relations for the stress tensor and heat flux vector are fundamentally nonlinear.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Auxiliary branch method and modified nodal voltage equations [PDF]
A theorem is presented describing a transformation by means of which it is possible to assign to an elementary multiport with fairly general constitutive equations (including all kinds of controlled sources, nullors, ideal transformers, etc.) a modified ...

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
