An extreme function which is nonnegative and discontinuous everywhere [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
We consider Gomory and Johnson's infinite group model with a single row. Valid inequalities for this model are expressed by valid functions and it has been recently shown that any valid function is dominated by some nonnegative valid function, modulo the affine hull of the model.

Measuring Public Service Motivation: An Assessment of Construct Reliability and Validity

open access: yes, 1996
The public administration literature makes many assertions that the motivations of individuals who pursue public service careers differ in important ways from other members of American society.

The effect of multi‐leaf collimator leaf width on VMAT treatment plan quality

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The advent of volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) in radiotherapy has made it one of the most commonly used techniques in clinical practice. VMAT is the delivery of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) while the gantry is in motion, and existing literature has shown it has decreased treatment delivery times and the ...

Constructing Ordered Orthogonal Arrays via Sudoku [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
For prime powers q we use "strongly orthogonal" linear Sudoku solutions of order q^2 to construct ordered orthogonal arrays of type OOA (4,s,2,q), and for each q we present a range of values of s for which these constructions are valid.

Validity and Reliability of the Scale Internet Users' Information Privacy Concern (IUIPC) [Extended Version] [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Internet Users' Information Privacy Concerns (IUIPC-10) is one of the most endorsed privacy concern scales. It is widely used in the evaluation of human factors of PETs and the investigation of the privacy paradox. Even though its predecessor Concern For Information Privacy (CFIP) has been evaluated independently and the instrument itself seen some ...

Construct Validity of the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire

open access: yesJournal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, 2014
Objective: To examine the construct validity of the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ). Methods: A total of 1424 Dutch workers from three occupational sectors (blue, pink, and white collar) participated in the study. First, IWPQ scores were

Bone‐wise rigid registration of femur, tibia, and fibula for the tracking of temporal changes

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Multiple myeloma (MM) induces temporal alterations in bone structure, such as osteolytic bone lesions, which are challenging to identify through manual image interpretation. The large variation in radiologists' assessments, even at expert centers, further complicates diagnosis.

Towards Unsupervised Validation of Anomaly-Detection Models [PDF]

open access: yesThe 27th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI 2024)
Unsupervised validation of anomaly-detection models is a highly challenging task. While the common practices for model validation involve a labeled validation set, such validation sets cannot be constructed when the underlying datasets are unlabeled. The lack of robust and efficient unsupervised model-validation techniques presents an acute challenge ...

Guidelines for choosing between multi-item and single-item scales for construct measurement: a predictive validity perspective

open access: yes, 2012
Establishing predictive validity of measures is a major concern in marketing research. This paper investigates the conditions favoring the use of single items versus multi-item scales in terms of predictive validity.
