Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Psychology, science and constructionisms: making sense of self / Psicologia, ciência e construcionismos: dando sentido ao self

open access: yesPsicologia: Reflexão e Crítica, 2004
Social constructionism has been proposed as a set of answers for the scientific paradigmatic crisis of last decades. The complexity and richness of its statements make difficult a unitary and consensual description of what is social constructionism among

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Game Modding for Learning Design Thinking on an E-Learning Platform

open access: yesDesigns for Learning, 2022
Design Thinking (DT) is not merely a well-known design methodology but also an entire mindset towards solving complex societal problems in an innovative way. Its popularity in diverse disciplines beyond design, is due to its relation with the development

Contentious Subjects: Constructionism and the Project of Higher Arts Education (Keynote) (Conference Keynote CONSTRUCTIONISM 2020, TCD, Dublin, Ireland)

open access: yes, 2020
Based on an analysis of the ways in which constructionism is both implicitly and explicitly operational within contemporary higher arts education, this paper proposes a re-reading of the political stakes of constructionism.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Short Tasks for Scaffolding Computational Thinking by the Global Bebras Challenge

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The short task methodology enhances the Bebras constructive environment, and provides an emotional context that triggers the convolution of initially biased mental models and corresponding emotional reactions into an unbiased set of conceptual models for

Constructionalization and post-constructionalization

open access: yes, 2015
The grammatical literature on Dutch generally distinguishes two “passive” alternatives to the active double object construction, one of which, the so-called krijgen-passive is a fairly recent addition to the grammar, the earliest reported examples dating from around 1900.

Social Constructionism Theory, Constructing the user experience of workplace [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Workplaces and -spaces are considered either as physical entities or as abstract organisational locations. Physical space is seen as static and objective by nature, and place is designated as an area with psychological meaning.
