Contact Algorithms for Contact Dynamical Systems

2010
An odd-dimensional manifold cannot admit a symplectic structure. The analogue of symplectic structure for odd-dimensional manifolds is a little less symmetric, but is also a very interesting structure — the contact structure. In this chapter, we apply the ideas of preserving Lie group and Lie algebra structure of dynamical systems in constructing ...

The Plasma Contact System 2.0

Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 2011
The contact system is a protease cascade that is initiated by factor XII activation on cardiovascular cells. The system starts procoagulant and proinflammatory reactions, via the intrinsic pathway of coagulation and the kallikrein-kinin system, respectively. The biochemistry of the contact system in vitro is well understood.

Using Systems of Systems to Manage Enterprise Contacts

2018 IEEE 4th International Forum on Research and Technology for Society and Industry (RTSI), 2018
This paper discusses how one could use a Systems of Systems Approach to manage contacts inside an enterprise. The major problem is the interoperability of existing systems in charge of handling information regarding addresses. We show how an MBA (Memory-Broker-Agent) approach could help to design a global system.

BALSAM-RELATED SYSTEMIC CONTACT DERMATITIS

Dermatitis, 2000
Positive patch tests to balsam of Peru (BOP) or fragrance mix (FM) suggest the possibility of systemic contact dermatitis from balsam-related foods and spices. This was a retrospective study to determine whether avoidance of balsam-related foods results in an improvement of dermatitis in these patients.A review of the records of all patients seen from ...

Contact Systems in Infectious Disease

Clinical Infectious Diseases, 1989
The current state of knowledge of contact coagulation pathways activated by exposure of blood to foreign surfaces such as occur with endothelial damage is reviewed. Changes in the contact proteins in normally occurring and experimentally induced infections in humans are summarized.

Systemic Contact Dermatitis

Dermatitis, 1994
The term systemic contact dermatitis is used to describe a dermatosis seen in some persons with delayedtype hypersensitivity to a hapten administered systemically. Immunohistochemical studies of flare-up reactions seen after oral challenge indicate that the mechanism includes delayed-type ...
