Perpetual sedimentation for the continuous delivery of particulate suspensions.

open access: yesLab on a Chip, 2019
Particle sedimentation is deleterious to a tremendous variety of microfluidic applications. Using an open instrumentation approach we show that syringe rotation retains particles in a suspended state, providing a universal solution for the continuous ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Implementation and performance analysis of a QoS-aware TFRC mechanism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper deals with the improvement of transport protocol behaviour over the DiffServ Assured Forwarding (AF)class. The Assured Service (AS) provides a minimum throughput guarantee that classical congestion control mechanisms, like window-based in TCP ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Thinning and disturbance growth in liquid films mobilized by continuous surfactant delivery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A generalized linear stability analysis is applied to the case of a thin liquid film propelled to spread by a continuous supply of surfactant. The time-dependent base states for the film thickness and surfactant concentration give rise to a nonautonomous

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Continuous Delivery of Games

open access: yes, 2021
What can we learn from Cyberpunk 2077’s disastrous launch? Cyberpunk 2077 was extensively advertised yet highly buggy release. Sony has pulled Cyberpunk 2077 from its PlayStation store following widespread complaints about glitches. The game lost over 75% of players on Steam.
