Lyapunov function search method for analysis of nonlinear systems stability using genetic algorithm

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник информационных технологий, механики и оптики
A wide class of smooth continuous dynamic nonlinear systems (control objects) with a measurable state vector is considered. The problem of finding a special function (Lyapunov function), which guarantees asymptotic stability for the presented class of ...

The roots of a polynomial depend continuously on its coefficients

open access: yes, 1994
The paper contains an elementary proof of the continuous dependence of the roots of a complex polynomial on its coefficients. The proof uses some inequalities involving the coefficients of a complex polynomial.

Evolution‐guided yeast complementation reveals functional differences in human PSPH variants

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Ancient genomes can help guide which human genetic variants are tested experimentally. This study applies that idea to PSPH, a gene involved in serine biosynthesis, and uses high‐throughput yeast complementation to compare variant function. The findings reveal measurable differences among selected alleles and illustrate the value of evolution‐guided ...

Scaling laws and deformation mechanisms of nanoporous copper under adiabatic uniaxial strain compression

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
A series of large-scale molecular dynamics simulations were conducted to investigate the scaling laws and the related atomistic deformation mechanisms of Cu monocrystal samples containing randomly placed nanovoids under adiabatic uniaxial strain ...

Continuous dependence on the coefficients for a class of non-autonomous evolutionary equations

open access: yes, 2013
38 pages, I changed the introduction and included some more references. Moreover, I added a new section illustrating the results obtained by an equation of mixed type. Slightly rearranged the content. More details in some proofs.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

Well-Posedness of a fully coupled thermo-chemo-poroelastic system with applications to petroleum rock mechanics

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
We consider a system of fully coupled parabolic and elliptic equations constituting the general model of chemical thermo-poroelasticity for a fluid-saturated porous media.

Location‐Specific Hematoma Volume Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration in Supratentorial ICH

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Early neurological deterioration (END) adversely affects outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to determine the location‐specific hematoma volumes for END in supratentorial ICH patients. Methods We retrospectively analyzed supratentorial ICH patients presenting from two prospective cohorts.

Energy scaling of energetic particle transport by microturbulence

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Energetic particle (EP) transport induced by the microturbulence are studied both theoretically and numerically. Based on the quasi-linear theory, the expressions of the four diffusion coefficients describing the EP transport in radial-velocity space ( r
