Receptance-based dominant eigenvalues computation of controlled vibrating systems with multiple time-delays using a contour integral method [PDF]
The computation of dominant eigenvalues of second-order linear control systems with multiple time-delays is tackled by using a contour integral method. The proposed approach depends on a reduced characteristic function and the associated characteristic ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

This paper investigates electromagnetic interference mechanisms in flat metallic casings using the contour integral method (CIM). Coaxial monopole probes are used to represent potential radiators, and a local field model is developed and combined with ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Contour integral representation of the on-shell T matrix
We suggest a contour integral representation for the on-shell T matrix in nonrelativistic N-body potential scattering with strong short range interactions.

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Integration of a class of systems of differential equations by using a contour integral
For systems ofq linear differential equations ofnth order with polynomial matrix coefficients, a fundamental family of formal solutions defined in a certain sector of a complex plane is constructed by using the Laplace contour integral.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Contour integral representations of Riemann's Zeta function and Dirichlet's Eta (alternating Zeta) function are presented and investigated. These representations flow naturally from methods developed in the 1800s, but somehow they do not appear in the ...
