A Short Note on Integral Transformations and Conversion Formulas for Sequence Generating Functions

open access: yesAxioms, 2019
The purpose of this note is to provide an expository introduction to some more curious integral formulas and transformations involving generating functions.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

A SUPER ZERO-REST-MASS-EQUATION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1990
Various authors have considered the Zero-rest-mass equation and the contour integral representation of its solutions. Ferber generalized these equations to supertwistor spaces with 2N odd components so that with N=O we get the standard ungraded twistors ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF THE FLAT PROBLEM OF ELASTICITY THEORY WITH TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE ANISOTROPY OF MATERIALS

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings, 2012
Solving a problem of stress concentration around the contour of holes under different loads in anisotropic medium based on boundary integral approach is presented in this paper.

New Bilateral Type Generating Function Associated with I-Function

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We aim at establishing a new bilateral type generating function associated with the I-function and a Mellin-Barnes type of contour integral. The results derived here are of general character and can yield a number of (known and new) results in the theory

Stress intensity at a crack between bonded dissimilar materials [PDF]

open access: yes
The contour integral method is extended to general boundary value problems involving imperfect bonding of dissimilar materials. The loading and restraints are shown to have a significant effect on the stress intensity.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
