Integration Rules for Scattering Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
As described by Cachazo, He and Yuan, scattering amplitudes in many quantum field theories can be represented as integrals that are fully localized on solutions to the so-called scattering equations.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Contour integration and aging: the effects of element spacing, collinearity and stimulus duration

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2013
The ability to extract contours in cluttered visual scenes, which is a crucial step in visual processing, declines with healthy aging, but the reasons for this decline are not well understood. In three experiments, we examined how the effect of aging on

The Model of Finance Contour Integration into Organization Strategy

open access: yesВестник Российского экономического университета имени Г. В. Плеханова, 2020
Finance management is an integral part of the general system of organization management, it is considered as an object and means of strategic management, as a sum total of methods and ways, which could provide enhancement of finance sustainability and ...

EEG findings of reduced neural synchronization during visual integration in schizophrenia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Schizophrenia patients exhibit well-documented visual processing deficits. One area of disruption is visual integration, the ability to form global objects from local elements.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Contour Measurement of Object with Arbitrary Surface Using Two-Dimensional Shearography with Source Displacement

open access: yesOptics, 2022
A two-dimensional (2D) shearography with source displacement is proposed to measure object contours. Using a dual-shear shearographic setup with two movable laser sources, the full-field slopes along a pair of orthogonal shear directions were obtained ...

The Grassmannian and the Twistor String: Connecting All Trees in N=4 SYM

open access: yes, 2010
We present a new, explicit formula for all tree-level amplitudes in N=4 super Yang-Mills. The formula is written as a certain contour integral of the connected prescription of Witten's twistor string, expressed in link variables.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Up and down quark masses from Finite Energy QCD sum rules to five loops

open access: yes, 2008
The up and down quark masses are determined from an optimized QCD Finite Energy Sum Rule (FESR) involving the correlator of axial-vector divergences, to five loop order in Perturbative QCD (PQCD), and including leading non-perturbative QCD and higher ...
