Rapid Deep Vat Printing Using Photoclickable Collagen‐Based Bioresins
Collagen‐based resin formulations based on thiol‐ene photoclick chemistry are demonstrated. These resins enable easy handleability under neutral conditions and further allow facile fabrication of multicellular tissue constructs via tomographic or FLight printing.

Time-of-day effects on muscle mitochondria following short-term ablation of satellite cells
IntroductionEndurance exercise capacity fluctuates by time-of-day due, in part, to molecular clock effects on muscle physiology. As endurance-based exercise relies predominantly on mitochondria for the conversion of cellular energy, fluctuations observed

Spontaneous formation of chaotic protrusions in a polymerizing active gel layer
The actin cortex is a thin layer of actin filaments and myosin motors beneath the outer membrane of animal cells. It determines the cells' mechanical properties and forms important morphological structures.

Tannic acid‐selenocystamine (TA‐SeCA) nanocoating enables stable, sustained catalytic nitric oxide (NO) release on catheter surfaces. This one‐step phenol‐amine coating improves catheter functionality by enhancing endogenous NO production, supporting vascular function, and reducing inflammation.

Computation of forces from deformed visco-elastic biological tissues [PDF]
We present a least-squares based inverse analysis of visco-elastic biological tissues. The proposed method computes the set of contractile forces (dipoles) at the cell boundaries that induce the observed and quantified deformations.

This study develops a 3D vascular injury model using a microphysiological system that mimics key features of intimal hyperplasia. Antiproliferative drugs reduced VSMC proliferation but worsened endothelialdenudation. A combination of diphenyleneiodonium and quercetin effectively reduced proliferation and migration of VSMC and inflammation while ...

Contraction of Stress Fibers Extracted from Smooth Muscle Cells: Effects of Varying Ionic Strength
Actin stress fibers (SFs) play a key role in regulation of cell adhesion, but the biochemical and biophysical properties intrinsic to SFs remain unclear. Here we extracted SFs from rat embryonic smooth muscle cells by deroofing, and evaluated the effects

Biomimetic, suturable, biodegradable fibrous scaffolds are engineered to mimic the tensile properties of LUT tissue using photocrosslinked 5:5% weight per volume elastin‐like peptide and methacrylated gelatin (5E5G). In vitro, urothelium, smooth muscle, and fibroblast 7 day cytocompatibility is demonstrated.
