RoBuCACO: ChatGPT-Based Educational Model for Creative Problem-Solving

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
Generative artificial intelligence (AI), including ChatGPT4o, is increasingly used across various sectors such as education. In this article, we introduce a new educational model, RoBuCACO, which combines the Butterfly Model for creative problem-solving ...

The Alethic Status of Contradictions in Fictional Discourse [PDF]

open access: yesOrganon F
Whether contradictions could be “true in fiction” has become an unavoidable topic in the debates on the bounds of fictionality. This paper claims that genuine contradictions in fiction are far more infrequent phenomena than is usually claimed.

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...

Photon Avalanching Nanoparticles: The Next Generation of Upconverting Nanomaterials?

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective outlines the mechanistic foundations that enable photon‐avalanche (PA) behavior in lanthanide nanomaterials and contrasts them with emerging application spaces and forward‐looking design strategies. By bridging threshold engineering, energy‐transfer dynamics, and materials engineering, we provide a coherent roadmap for advancing the ...

About Fuzzy time-Particle interpretation of Quantum Mechanics (it is not an innocent one!) version one [PDF]

open access: yes
The major point in [1] chapter 2 is the following claim: “Any formalized system for the Theory of Computation based on Classical Logic and Turing Model of Computation leads us to a contradiction.” So, in the case we wish to save ...

The Moral Argument, Existential Problems of Evil, and a Non-Existential Alternative [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Within this paper, it is shown that certain ethical assumptions are implicit within the claim that certain kinds of evil exist. When taken in tandem with the moral argument for the existence of God, these assumptions can be arranged in such a way as to ...

Algorithmic Design of Disordered Networks With Arbitrary Coordination: Application to Biophotonics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Predictive Design of Disordered Networks: Disordered network‐like morphologies are abundant in nature, from cytoskeletal networks to bone structures and chalcogenide glasses. These structures are naturally hard to characterize. A new algorithmic tool extends the established Wooten–Weaire–Winer (WWW) algorithm to valencies above 4.

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

The Faith at the End of Knowing

open access: yesReligions
This essay explores the complexity of faith in our time. The continued belief in religion indicates, at least to some extent, the failure of science to fully demonstrate its absoluteness to a convincing degree for many believers.
