Control design variable linking for optimization of structural/control systems [PDF]

open access: yes
A method is presented to integrate the design space of structural/control system optimization problems in the case of linear state feedback control. Conventional structural sizing variables and elements of the feedback gain matrix are both treated as ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A unified optimal control framework: time-optimal control and stochastic optimal control

open access: yes
In this paper, we propose a unified stochastic optimal control framework that integrates time-optimal control problems with classical stochastic optimal control formulations. Unlike conventional deterministic time-optimal control models, our approach incorporates a generalized stochastic control structure subject to minimum-time constraints.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

State of health estimation of lithium-ion battery based on CNN–WNN–WLSTM

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
Accurate and stable estimation of the state of health (SOH), which is one of the critical indicators to characterize the ability of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries to store and release energy, is critical in the stable driving of electric vehicles.

A Study on SVM Based on the Weighted Elitist Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization and Application in the Fault Diagnosis of Chemical Process

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization (TLBO) is a new swarm intelligence optimization algorithm that simulates the class learning process. According to such problems of the traditional TLBO as low optimizing efficiency and poor stability, this paper ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
