Controlled Atmosphere Exposure Chamber

A room-sized chamber was constructed capable of automatically maintaining levels of single or mixed contaminants for prolonged periods. The system can add specific contaminants to the natural smog or filter them out or do both. The chamber can house 20 dogs or subhuman primates adequately. Air flow is laminar from side to side.

If the upper atmosphere and ionosphere of Triton are controlled by precipitation of electrons from Neptune's magnetosphere as previously proposed, Triton could have the only ionosphere in the solar system not controlled by solar radiation.
