PEAR DRYING: PERSPECTIVES FOR CONVECTIVE DRYING AND NUTRITIONAL EVALUATION
Acta Horticulturae, 2008The present study aimed the evaluation of the possibilities of introducing alterations in the method used traditionally to dry pears in Portugal, by direct open-air sun exposure, in order to modernize it, making it possible to be used in an industrial scale, being more profitable and allowing the obtaining of dried pears with a better quality.

Convection drying of porous material
Ceramics International, 1994The kinetics of convection drying of flat tiles has been investigated experimentally in an industrial tunnel dryer. Applying the maximum allowed drying rate curve obtained for a flat tile in the first period of drying, a grapho-analytic model for the optimal management of the process has been developed.

The energy value of fossil fuels may be improved by changing their excess moisture content. In studying the development of heat and mass transfer in the heating of coal samples at a rate of 5°C/min in air, with the plotting of a complete differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) curve, it is found that initial heating of the coal sample is accompanied by

OSMO-CONVECTIVE DRYING OF GRAPES
Drying Technology, 1994ABSTRACT In order to reduce browning of grapes during drying, a special drying method was developed and evaluated using a laboratory scale fluidized bed dryer. Fresh Thompson seedless grapes were initially dried by immersion in a fluidized bed of sugar. The mass ratio of grapes to sugar was 1:1.

Comparison of acoustic and convective drying
Journal of engineering physics, 1967An investigation is carried out into the process of the drying of a ceramic disk involving the use of an acoustic field produced by a gasjet emitter fed by hot air (up to 140° C).

Convective drying kinetics of raspberry
2023The drying kinetics of raspberry in a laboratory dryer was studied. Fresh, untreated raspberries were dried at selected temperatures of 50 °C with a constant air velocity of 1.2 m/s. The drying rate curves showed that drying process took place only in the falling rate period.

Convective drying of sludge cake
Journal of Thermal Science, 2002This paper presented an experimental study on convective drying of waste water sludge collected from Beijing GaoBeiDian Sewage Treatment Plant, particularly on the correlation between the observed shrinkage dynamics of sludge cake and the drying curve.

Microwave and Convective Drying of Grapes
Transactions of the ASAE, 1993Thompson seedless grapes were dried under forced convection and also combined convection and microwaves in a modified microwave (MW) oven. Effect of chemical pretreatment on drying rate was compared with fruits with no pretreatment. Different air temperatures and power levels were investigated. Dipping of fruits in hot alkaline solution of ethyl oleate

Convective Drying of Ginger Rhizomes
2018This paper presents the results of convective drying of ginger rhizomes under blanched, unblanched, peeled and unpeeled conditions using the ars-0680 environmental chambers for the drying process and td1002a—linear heat conduction experimental equipment to measure the thermal conductivities of the ginger at six temperature levels ranging from 10 to 60 °

MODEL OF CONVECTIVE DRYING OF APPLES
Elektrotekhnologii i elektrooborudovanie v APKThe complexity of describing the drying of various materials requires experiments to determine the characteristics of the process in real time. Such studies are based on mathematical modeling using methods of identification and estimation of the proximity of the characteristics of the analytical model with the object under study, followed by correction.
