Generalized Limit Theorem for Mellin Transform of the Riemann Zeta-Function

open access: yesAxioms
In the paper, we prove a limit theorem in the sense of the weak convergence of probability measures for the modified Mellin transform Z(s), s=σ+it, with fixed 1 ...

Multivariate normal approximation in geometric probability

open access: yes, 2008
Consider a measure μλ = Σx ξx δx where the sum is over points x of a Poisson point process of intensity λ on a bounded region in d-space, and ξx is a functional determined by the Poisson points near to x, i.e.

On convergence of conditional probability measures [PDF]

open access: yesKodai Mathematical Journal, 1985
In an information-theoretical framework, the author discusses some relationships between the convergence of probability measures conditioned on sample mean events and certain minimum I-divergences (resp. Kullback- Leibler information numbers) under constraints.

A Discrete Limit Theorem for a Collection of Epstein Zeta-Functions

open access: yesJaunųjų Mokslininkų Darbai
In this paper, the discrete limit theorem of Bohr-Jessen type with an explicitly given limit measure for a collection of Epstein zeta-functions is given. An extra condition is required to specify the form of the limit measure.

On Discrete Approximation of Analytic Functions by Shifts of the Lerch Zeta Function

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The Lerch zeta function is defined by a Dirichlet series depending on two fixed parameters. In the paper, we consider the approximation of analytic functions by discrete shifts of the Lerch zeta function, and we prove that, for arbitrary parameters and a

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Convergence of probability measures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this thesis we define two most common types of convergence of probability measures and show relations between them. Using examples, we show that our result is sharp.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
