The Rate of Convergence for Linear Shape-Preserving Algorithms
We prove some results which give explicit methods for determining an upper bound for the rate of approximation by means of operators preserving a cone. Thenwe obtain some quantitative results on the rate of convergence for some sequences of linear shape ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Monetary convergence and risk premiums in the EU candidate countries [PDF]
This study examines the link between various monetary policy regimes and the ability to manage inflation and exchange rate risk premiums in the EU candidate countries as they undergo monetary convergence to the eurozone. The underlying hypothesis is that

A Note on Averaging Principles for Fractional Stochastic Differential Equations
Over the past few years, many scholars began to study averaging principles for fractional stochastic differential equations since they can provide an approximate analytical method to reduce such systems.

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Convergence Rate Analysis of MAP Coordinate Minimization Algorithms
Finding maximum a posteriori (MAP) assignments in graphical models is an important task in many applications. Since the problem is generally hard, linear programming (LP) relaxations are often used.

Geometric Approximation of Point Interactions in Three-Dimensional Domains
In this paper, we study a three-dimensional second-order elliptic operator with a point interaction in an arbitrary domain. The operator is supposed to be self-adjoint.

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Exchange Rate Risk and Convergence to the Euro [PDF]
This paper proposes a new monetary policy framework for effectively navigating the path to adopting the euro. The proposed policy is based on relative inflation forecast targeting and incorporates an ancillary target of declining exchange rate risk ...

A modified subgradient extragradient method for solving monotone variational inequalities
In the setting of Hilbert space, a modified subgradient extragradient method is proposed for solving Lipschitz-continuous and monotone variational inequalities defined on a level set of a convex function.
