Converting Contextuality into Nonlocality [PDF]
We introduce a general method which converts, in a unified way, any form of quantum contextuality, including any form of state-dependent contextuality, into a quantum violation of a bipartite Bell inequality. As an example, we apply the method to a quantum violation of the Klyachko-Can-Binicioğlu-Shumovsky inequality.

The Concept and Understanding of Synchronous Stability in Power Electronic-Based Power Systems
Synchronous stability in power systems is of essential importance for system safety and operation. For the phase-locked loop (PLL)-based synchronous stability in power electronic-based power systems, which has recently stimulated interest in researchers ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

We study how big the blow-up in size can be when one switches between the CNF and DNF representations of boolean functions. For a function f : {0,1}^n -> {0,1}, cnfsize(f) denotes the minimum number of clauses in a CNF for f; similarly, dnfsize(f) denotes the minimum number of terms in a DNF for f.

Plasma generation by means of electrical discharge requires specialized power supply systems. The applicability of plasma for various plasma processes depends on its parameters, and these, in turn, depend on the parameters of power supply systems.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Power electronics represent a large and important class of hybrid systems, as modern digital computers and many other systems rely on their correct operation. In this benchmark description, we model three DC-to-DC switched-mode power converters as hybrid automata with continuous dynamics specified by linear ordinary differential equations. A DC-to-DC
