Experimental study on the effect of operating parameters on the mass transfer ability of Hangang 250 t converter

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2016
The mass transfer rate between steel and slag determines the reaction rates of elements in a molten bath(especially the reaction rates of desulphurization and dephosphorization),and has direct impact on the distribution ratios of elements between steel ...

A back to back multilevel converter for driving low inductance brushless AC machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Traditionally, multilevel converters are utilised in medium voltage applications, allowing the DC-link voltage to exceed the switch maximum blocking voltage.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A New Single-Stage Three-Phase PFC for Four-Switch Three-Phase Inverter Fed IM Drives

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2019
This paper proposes a single-stage three-phase power factor correction (PFC) for four-switch inverter (FSI) fed induction motor (IM) drives. The PFC scheme uses a Cuk converter with only one switch, and consequently, it needs only one control signal ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

An Improved Power Factor Correction Converter for Switched Reluctance Motor Drive Performance Analysis

open access: yesIEEE Access
Power Factor Correction (PFC) is crucial for the efficient operation of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) converters, as it enhances energy utilization and minimizes system losses.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

A Proposal of a Novel Method for Generating Discrete Analog Uniform Noise

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2018
This paper presents a proposal of a new way to generate analog noise, discrete in time, with uniform probability density function. Instead of the usual way of generating discrete analog uniform noise using a uniform pseudorandom number generator and a ...

The value of hippocampal and temporal horn volumes and rates of change in predicting future conversion to AD. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Hippocampal pathology occurs early in Alzheimer disease (AD), and atrophy, measured by volumes and volume changes, may predict which subjects will develop AD.
