VLTI-GRAVITY measurements of cool evolved stars
Aims. The mass-loss process of red supergiant (RSG) and asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars and its relation to variability are poorly constrained. We aim to study the photosphere and near-surface atmospheric structure, where the mass-loss is initiated ...

SPECTRAL INVESTIGATIONS OF CM DRA
We present an analysis of a high resolution (R=47000) echelle spectra of the low-mass eclipsing binary CM Draconis, which were obtained on the 4.2-m William Herschel Telescope. Spectra were obtained for various phases of the orbit.

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

In order to study the sensitivity of neutron star cooling to nucleon superfluidity and to discover whether neutron stars can cool quickly enough to satisfy the Crab pulsar blackbody observability constraint in the absence of pion condensates, we have performed cooling calculations within a variety of scenarios using a simple, constant-density model for

Planetary sizes and bulk compositions rely fundamentally on the stellar masses and radii. For the vast majority of stars, these parameters cannot be directly measured and must be inferred from temperature and luminosity. Therefore, reliable stellar luminosities are essential for a proper characterisation of the planetary companions.

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Hot Subdwarf Stars Identified in LAMOST DR8 with Single-lined and Composite Spectra
A total of 222 hot subdwarf stars were identified with LAMOST DR8 spectra, among which 131 stars show composite spectra and have been decomposed, while 91 stars present single-lined spectra.

2D Cooling of magnetized neutron stars [PDF]
Context: Many thermally emitting isolated neutron stars have magnetic fields larger than 10^13 G. A realistic cooling model that includes the presence of high magnetic fields should be reconsidered. Aims: We investigate the effects of anisotropic temperature distribution and Joule heating on the cooling of magnetized neutron stars. Methods: The 2D heat

Extracellular vesicle (EV) lipidomic profiling of plasma and ascites from patients with high‐grade serous ovarian cancer and of ovarian cancer cell lines reveals enrichment of triglycerides (TGs), diacylglycerols (DGs), phosphatidylcholine (PCs), sphingomyelins (SMs), reflecting tumor metabolic reprogramming.
