Rational Behavior in Dynamic Multicriteria Games

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We consider a dynamic, discrete-time, game model where n players use a common resource and have different criteria to optimize. To construct a multicriteria Nash equilibrium the bargaining solution is adopted.

ON COOPERATIVE QUASI-EQUILIBRIUM MODELS OF TRANSCRIPTIONAL REGULATION [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, 2007
Mechanistic models for transcriptional regulation are derived using the methods of equilibrium statistical mechanics, to model equilibrating processes that occur at a fast time scale. These processes regulate slower changes in the synthesis and expression of transcription factors that feed back and cooperatively regulate transcription, forming a gene ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Multi-UUV Cooperative Dynamic Maneuver Decision-Making Algorithm Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Game Theory

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
In this paper, a multi-unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) cooperative dynamic maneuver decision-making algorithm is proposed based on the combination of game theory and intuitionistic fuzzy sets.

Coevolution of trustful buyers and cooperative sellers in the trust game. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2012
Many online marketplaces enjoy great success. Buyers and sellers in successful markets carry out cooperative transactions even if they do not know each other in advance and a moral hazard exists.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Modeling Misbehavior in Cooperative Diversity: A Dynamic Game Approach

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2009
Cooperative diversity protocols are designed with the assumption that terminals always help each other in a socially efficient manner. This assumption may not be valid in commercial wireless networks where terminals may misbehave for selfish or malicious

Equilibrium Pricing of Securities in the Co-presence of Cooperative and Non-cooperative Populations

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2022
In this work, we develop an equilibrium model for price formation of securities in a market composed of two populations of different types: the first one consists of cooperative agents, while the other one consists of non-cooperative agents. The trading of every cooperative member is assumed to be coordinated by a central planner.
