Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Cooperative equity financing and cooperative R&D between competitors

open access: yesInternational Review of Economics & Finance
Many firms often face a shortage of R&D funds and have to raise capital by selling ownership shares to their competitors, which affects the R&D models of competing firms.

Marketing Resource Allocation Strategy Optimization Based on Dynamic Game Model

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
Game theory has become an important tool to study the competition between oligopolistic enterprises. After combing the existing literature, it is found that there is no research combining two-stage game and nonlinear dynamics to analyze the competition ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Feedback Equilibrium for Dynamic Competitive and Cooperative Advertising

open access: yesProcedia Computer Science, 2019
Abstract This paper not only studies the competitive advertising between the manufacturer in direct channel and the upstream retailer which is in distribution channel, but also investigates the cooperative advertising between the upstream manufacturer and the downstream retailer in distribution channel in the case that the downstream retailer faces a

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Game-Theoretic Analysis of Cooperative Advertising Decisions in Production–Retail Channels with Seasonal Demand

open access: yesMathematics
This paper investigates cooperative advertising decisions in production–retailing channels for seasonal products under demand seasonality. We develop analytical game-theoretic models to examine how advertising cooperation influences channel coordination ...

The State As a Non-Cooperative Equilibrium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
We propose a theory of the origin of the State as an institution originating from the voluntary interaction among decentralized and fully informed agents.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...
