Bias‐Free Highly Efficient and Stable Dye‐Sensitized Photoelectrochemical Cells via Cascade Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A buried‐junction DSPEC design is introduced that leverages cascade charge transfer to enhance efficiency, stability, and versatility. This approach facilitates effective charge transfer and minimizes recombination losses, leading to significant improvements.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Intermolecular addition reactions of N-alkyl-N-chlorosulfonamides to unsaturated compounds

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
N-Alkyl-N-chlorosulfonamides add to alkenes under copper(I) catalysis. In reactions of styrene derivatives with terminal double bonds the addition products were obtained in excellent yield and high regioselectivity.

A general synthesis of azetidines by copper-catalysed photoinduced anti-Baldwin radical cyclization of ynamides

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
The construction of four-membered rings via a 4-exo-dig cyclization was originally theorized to be unfavourable and only recently shown in sparse examples.

Advancing Electronic Application of Coordination Solids: Enhancing Electron Transport and Device Integration via Surface‐Mounted MOFs (SURMOFs)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Exposure of metallic copper surface on Cu-Al2O3-carbon catalysts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
The bifunctional nature of Cu---Al2O3-on-carbon catalysts, used in the direct catalytic conversion of ethanol to ethyl acetate, prompted an examination of the dispersion of Cu on the composite catalyst. For this, the N2O-method of Osinga et al.
