Copper(II) forms in the pH range 6.3 to 7.8 a yellowish brown complex with 3-nitroso-4-hydroxy-5,6-benzocoumarin which is soluble in a 60 % dioxan medium giving a deep yellow coloured solution. Beer’s law is obeyed up to 2.80 ppm of copper(II) at 420 nm.

Binding copper(II) ion released from azo-amino acid Schiff base complex into lysozyme crystals as models for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease [PDF]
Aim: One of the causes of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the structural change and aggregation of target proteins due to the binding of metal ions. In this study, we investigated where copper(II) ions bound to the protein egg white lysozyme crystals in a ...

Monotropic Polymorphism in Copper(II) Decanoate
Copper(II) decanoate was synthesized, purified and studied by DSC, optical microscopy, XRD, and FTIR and C-13 NMR spectroscopies. Depending on the solvent used for crystallization two polymorphs were obtained. A combination of singlecrystal and powder XRD was used to study their structures.
